Review of Jabra Evolve2 85

Sound: 9.5/10
It sounds slightly better than my XM3.
Fit: 9/10
More or less the same comments for XM3, they both fit extremely well, but never really a fan of over-ear headsets hence the missing 1 point.
Mics: 10/10
I LOVE IT period. Yes, you might look/feel weird when the mic is down for speech at first. However, the mic works magic, tested it with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Skype. I was told by the receiving end that my speech was crystal clear despite the fact that there were people talking in the background.
Noise Cancellation: 9.5/10
A close fight with the XM3, doubt there are any headsets that can block out every DB of sound from surroundings or I am just being too picky about it.
Value: 9/10
With Working from home as the default in times of pandemic, Jabra Evolve2 85 has my 100% attention. Somehow everyone starts renovating their houses/rooms (including me). The Jabra Evolve2 85 enabled me to focus on my work through the entire day and get on work calls without a hassle.
Battery life: 9.5/10
I used it across 4 days and most of the time when I was working and it survived before I had to do the next charge.
Connectivity: 10/10
It connects within seconds of turning it on, best part, the dongle plugged into your computer will turn purple when it is connected!
Comfort 9/10
I can wear them through my working hours and I feel totally perfect.
Design: 9.5/10
The design is sleek, and it has tons of functionality. One of my favorite parts is when the headset detects that I am in a call, the lights turn red, including the light on the dongle itself. One of the BEST features and reasons why I would go for a Jabra Evolve2 85.
Worth the upgrade?
Totally worth it if you are looking for something that can be used for both work and play. Jabra also has the software Jabra Direct, which allows users to check their product’s battery life and product settings. If you have Logitech G computer peripherals, you will definitely know what I mean. Update of software on your hardware is just a click away.

Office Workers:
You totally should get this if you are frequently on calls in the office or working from home to minimize distractions, sounds and allow whoever is around you to know that you are on a call. Oh yes, it is also Microsoft Teams and UC certified.
Anyone who loves sound quality:
Yes you should have this Jabra Evolve2 85 because the sound is perfect, the mic is great for whoever you are communicating with.

Bottomline

Jabra Evolve 2 85 with Dongle.JPG

After using the Jabra Evolve2 85, I never really went back to my XM3 again. The key reason for this decision is because I can use a single headset for both my work and travel. Even if I have a call, out in the public I will not make whoever I am communicating with suffer the background noise. I have to re-emphasize on how much I love those lights, not because I am some RGB fan but it is like a light notification where I can know immediately if I am well connected, and let the people around me know if I am on a call. If you wish to find out more about the tech specs, you can always visit Jabra to find out more. The mic is so well kept, it looks just like a design feature. The sliding of the headset arm is just smooth and does not have any preset, so anyone can find a good fit.
